Had some wonderful experiences - such that I would consider Camino experiences. It started where I left off in Cahors. I was packed and ready to head off after breakfast and then decided I wanted to stay another day - the fact it was raining played a small part but I also wanted to stay to see Sandrine and her mother arrive and I wanted to get to know Jacqui, the owner of the gite. Turned out she has been to Plum Village - the monastry of Thich Nhat Hahn - so that began a whole conversation over several cups of tea. It was wonderful to catch of with Sandrine and her mother and to hear of their experiences!
I have more but someone wants to use the computer so I will cut this blog short and continue when I reach St. Jean Pied de Port.
I haven't taken a day off since Cahors and put in some long days - the longest 34 km but also had some short ones like today 12 km - what a breeze. We can see the Pyranees now - if the weather is good I might add one more day and go to Ronceveaux. It is a 24 km day but pretty much all up hill into the Pyranees.
Just wanted to let everyone know all is well - a little pain in my heel but good stretching seems to help and if nothing else Advil to get me through the next three or four days.
Lots of love -
